It sounds like you don’t have write permission on your %APPDATA%\postgresql directory. Theat would explain why you couldn’t write either of the two files that pgAdmin stores there.

I am trying to save some favorites om my computer but the  pgadmin reports the message above.

What platform? What pgAdmin version?
